For this reason, we can discuss supplying medications and bespoke medical kits that would not normally be obtainable from your family doctor. These are normally antibiotics and strong painkillers. Precisely which medications depends on a pre-expedition consultation - we ask you to complete a questionnaire by email followed by a telephone consultation. You will be issued with a prescription and clear guidance for the medication's use. We will provide the prescription once you and Adventure Medical Consulting are satisfied why the medications are being prescribed, when they may be used and what side effects can occur.
There is a charge for the consultation. We do not sell medications, you will need to purchase them from a pharmacist with the prescription. We can recommend trusted suppliers. This service is normally for UK residents only.
We recommend you visit your family doctor or travel clinic for a review of your vaccination requirements at least 6-8 weeks before you travel.Adventure Medical Training Courses
Whilst we provide accredited outdoor and expedition first aid courses, the majority of our courses are combined with advanced training for remote overseas locations
We will take time to discuss your requirements and provide you with bespoke advanced training. This is intended for use overseas where medical help is more than approximately 3 hours away.
